Reflections on parenting skills: A proposal for an operational definition

Abstract

This study emphasizes the role of the family and the importance
of parenting techniques on children’s comprehensive development. The historical construct and evolution of parenting strategies are discussed. A unified definition is presented that enables the application of parenting skills in a domestic, legal context.
