Abstract
This article forms a part of the debate on gender and focuses on the problem of discrimination against women at different levels. It is based on the assumption that in modern Western society women in general occupy a subordinate position, and that this position can be explained/understood from a colonial logic. Not only can it be coherently explained from a colonial logic, but the decolonial option can break or overcome this condition that leads to discrimination in a wide variety of forms
