Abstract
If adoption seeks to provide adopted children with the best pos-sible environment for their upbringing, education and care, the real question about the admissibility of homoparental adoption is whether or not it harms the best interests of the child. This work proposes several legal and non-legal arguments from which to draw a conclusion, examining some of the concepts involved in the problematization, as well as the inconsistencies of the argu-ments that reject homoparental adoption. It is argued that such reasoning fails to formulate persuasive objections to homoparental parenting
